I would give it zero stars if possible. Dr. Pallan is okay, but the rest of the staff is terribly rude. On multiple occasions I've had two different women speak down to my wife and be nothing but rude and b*tchy for lack of a better term. I would not suggest this office, there has got to be a better place to go in Sykesville. Not planning on returning after today's interaction.
First she tried to refer me to a new specialist so I explained that I was already be treated by a particular one and she said "well I don't know who that is" so I provided her the information for both doctors and she came back into the room with paperwork for lab work (which I didn't need) but fine whatever. Then the office assistant comes back and hands me a piece of scrap paper with the name and numbers of the doctors and said "she wants you to go see these doctors for follow -up" REALLY! I asked if she was joking? I explained that I needed an ACTUAL REFERAL acceptable by the insurance company not just the name and number written on a 2x3 piece of paper. I was told they would try to fax something by Monday. This place was a joke
OMG..I can't even begin to tell you how dis-satisfied I was. Because of my insurance changes, I now need referrals to follow-up with specialist I am already being seen by so I made an appointment with Dr. Pallen to be seen and get the referrals. She acted like I was bothering her and every time she asked me a question she said "uh huh" with her back to me like she wasn't even listening!
The doctor is great if you can understand her thick accent. She seems to know what she is doing but her office staff is horrible. They billed my husband's and my stuff incorrectly to our insurance company and we are having to jump through all kinds of hoops to get it resolved. We have also had a hard time with prescriptions being filled there. We refuse to go back and would never recommend this office to anyone.
Dr. Pallan is a very nice doctor; I don't have any problems with her accent. The staff at this place is a nightmare. I recently switched doctors because I thought the staff of another doctor might be better. Wrong!!! They are even worse. On Monday, they took blood and on Friday morning, I still hadn't received any results. So, I called Friday morning to find out about the results. "Everything is okay", answered the nurse. "Why didn't you call me to tell me the results?" was my question. The nurse, "Well, we got your results on Wednesday." I replied, "...and today is Friday". The nurse, "um.....um... ,well your results are okay." First of all, that was not the answer to my question. Secondly, even if the results are within normal limits, why don't you call your patients???? One of my cats had blood work done on Tuesday afternoon, and by Wednesday morning I had already the results. So, veterinarians working much more efficient than human doctors, although the human doctors are getting the big money? That can't be right.
Started with Dr. Forsberg who was amazing but he passed away. Dr. Pallan is good, knows her stuff. Contrary to the other reviews in my years of going to this office I have never had any issue with the staff. My paperwork is always processed correctly, they are always courteous and professional, call me to remind me of appointments etc..
